Dear Pure Health Resource,

I am sending you an email on my initial reaction to the heater I purchased from you. Here I am in what is supposed to be the mild and rainy northwest and we have been in our January cold snap. I moved to a new home last spring and I love it, yet compared to where I was, the heating expenses here have been excessive.

I have prided myself on living very sustainable when it comes to resource usage and was able to keep my furnace fuel and electricity usage at a minimum at my previous home.

My new home is wonderful yet I have discovered it to be a heat drain compared to where I was living before. I am too far out in the tooleys now to have a natural gas connection and the previous owners had installed a cute glass front stove that was fueled by a propane tank onsite. There are also various in the wall electric heaters that had been deemed potentially dangerous by my real estate inspector, so I keep them turned off. I had been using the propane for primary heat and was shocked to find that I had used a tankful ($265.00) in less than a month. I was keeping my thermostat very low and feeling pretty cold here at home yet the flame would ignite all day and night.

That was when I remembered that you sold these heaters I had seen in magazines, the paper and TV. I got all the information from you and received my heater in less than a week. It was a beautiful piece of oak furniture and all I had to do was take it out of the box and plug it in. I turned it up to high as I was reading the manual. Here there was snow on the ground and in a few hours I was feeling like it was a warm spring day. The heat really is different when it is infrared. My pets knew right away and they like to sit near the SunTwin rather than the electric radiator.

I called you again after a day or two to get advice on the most efficient way to run it and I have been happy with it ever since. I know they say that the SunTwin is not supposed to be your primary heat source and I have an electric oil filled radiator in the coldest part of the house. I leave the radiator on the lowest setting and leave the SunTwin quite low at the second or third setting from the lowest. What I have found is that the SunTwin only clicks on when the temperature has dropped below what I have chosen it to be... a few times at night and once or twice during the day. My little home is now comfortable all day and night long and I have the peace of mind of knowing that I am not heating the woods around me.

On a final note...I called the electric company to ask about my electric usage since I started using the SunTwin and was pleasantly surprised to learn that my KWH really have not changed much at all yet I am not burning the propane at all and I am finally comfortable. I am no longer having to fuss over the temperature at home...I am busy with my day and do not even think about it.

Another advantage of the Sun-Twin space heater is that it will fit effortlessly into almost any decor. It can be seen that this unit is neither old or geeky looking as is the case with so many of the traditionally-styled space heaters, nor, does it have the swirls and curves of some of the "modern" heaters. It looks exactly like a piece of furniture because it is a piece of furniture. It works very well as an end table in a living room or recreation room situation.

The Sun-Twin provides an elegant solution to a traditional problem - how to raise the temperature in indoor spaces without either installing plumbing or putting in a humidity-removing-drying heater that may put pollutants into the environment (kerosene heaters, etc...).
